We had such a wonderful experience with Rabbi Glantz for our son Spencer’s bris. From the moment he arrived, he brought a sense of calm, confidence, and even humor that really set the tone for the day. The ceremony itself was beautiful and meaningful, and he struck the perfect balance of tradition, warmth, and levity. So many of our guests came up to us afterward to say how much they liked him and how special they thought the ceremony was. Even my future brother-in-law said he would use Rabbi Glantz one day if they have a boy. Beyond the ceremony, what stood out just as much was how responsive and caring he was afterward. As first-time parents, we had questions and moments of uncertainty, and Rabbi Glantz was incredibly attentive, quick to respond, and genuinely invested in Spencer’s well-being. He even offered to come see him in person, which meant a lot to us. Choosing who to perform your son’s bris is not a small decision, and we would recommend Rabbi Glantz without hesitation. We are so grateful for the care, professionalism, and compassion he showed our family.

We had a wonderful experience with Rabbi Glantz for our son’s circumcision. He was incredibly professional, communicative, knowledgeable, and compassionate throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which gave us a lot of peace of mind as parents. The ceremony was meaningful and handled with great care, and most importantly, our son was as comfortable as possible. He was kind enough to stay in touch and promptly respond to us to make sure our son healed quickly. We’re truly grateful for his expertise and kindness, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and caring mohel.

We used Rabbi Glantz for our son's Bris in March, and highly recommend him! As first-time boy parents we never hosted a bris before, and were naturally a bit anxious, but Rabbi Glantz did a great job putting us at ease. He was kind and extremely informative throughout the process. During the ceremony planning process, he helped us include honors for the important people in our lives (including our oldest child), making the event feel deeply personal. One of my highlights from the day was the Tallis Wrap honor. At the ceremony itself, Rabbi Glantz also kept the occasion respectful and meaningful while bringing warmth and humor to the day -- which I really appreciated. His aftercare instructions were thorough. He also made it very clear that he was there for guidance after the ceremony should we have any questions.

Rabbi Glantz performed our son’s bris this past December and we’re still hearing about it from family and friends who attended. Not only did Rabbi Glantz fully prepare us for what to expect, he made the entire ceremony joyous, personal and accessible to everyone in attendance. Our son cried for less than 30 seconds during the procedure and he healed extremely well. Rabbi Glantz checked in on us regularly and made himself readily available for any questions we had in the weeks following. At his 1 month appointment, our son’s pediatrician actually told us they it was one of the best circumcisions he’s seen. We highly recommend Rabbi Howard Glantz for any ceremonial celebration, but particularly for your son’s bris!
— Sara Arch
Rabbi Glantz performed the Bris for both of our sons. For both, Howard communicated clearly, cared for our son, and made the ceremony meaningful. We checked in afterwards to follow up about how each were doing. We would highly recommend him for your Bris!

We recently had the honor of working with Rabbi Glantz for our son’s bris, and we couldn’t have asked for a more positive experience. From our very first conversation, Rabbi Glantz was kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He guided us through the process with great sensitivity, answering all of our questions and helping us feel fully prepared. On the day of the ceremony, Rabbi Glantz created a warm and respectful environment, combining tradition with a calm and reassuring presence that truly put everyone at ease. The procedure was done with care and precision, and his follow-up afterward showed his deep commitment to both the physical and emotional well-being of our family. We are so grateful to Rabbi Glantz for the compassion and expertise he brought to such an important moment in our lives. We would wholeheartedly recommend him to any family seeking a mohel.

Rabbi Howard K. Glantz is the absolute best! He showed so much care and concern for my son’s well-being. He made me (as a stressed mama) feel a lot more at ease during the ceremony. He was also very meticulous with keeping a clean sterile environment for the procedure. He explained any and all questions before, during and after procedure without hesitation. I could ask a question right now and he would answer right away! Rabbi Glantz communicates clearly and quickly which makes the whole process so easy and enjoyable to set up. My family has used him for our two sons and we would never use anyone else!!!

ONE OF ONE! A+! A SHOW-MAN! THE BEST OF THE BEST! In a situation that isn't the most comfortable, Howard makes it a worthwhile, memorable and incredibly FUN, interactive experience! Howard Glantz provided a stellar ritual performance that kept all attendees fully engaged. Rabbi Glantz reaches and activates heart, mind and biblical soul, but its easy to tell he can be fun and REMARKABLE in ANY situation no matter how religious or not religious. His role as the Commander and Chief brought together a group of relatives, from both sides, to a meeting of deep feelings shared and expressed over those short hours. Rabbi Glantz gets everyone in the event encompassed in warmth, glowing in love and THE BEST EXPERIENCE.... from something you really were quite nervous about.... HE THRIVES! Rabbi Glantz is exceptional and exciting. His commitment to a profession taken to a much higher standard…. He is amazing. Highly recommend and hope to have more miracles and blessings in the future that he can attend and lift up to be truly remarkable, which is WHAT.HE.DOES. Our family and friends could not possibly hold Howard in ANY HIGHER REGARD, he is the best.
— Matt Laken
Rabbi Glantz provided such a special bris for our son! The ceremony felt personalized and all of our family members commented on how much they enjoyed Rabbi Glantz’s humor, delivery, cleanliness, and experience overall (which we couldn’t agree with more!). Our son’s doctor even commented on how “incredibly well done” (his words) the circumcision was. We couldn’t recommend Rabbi Glantz more - from the time of meeting until the day of and then after the event happened, he was professional, organized, maintained excellent communication/follow up, and was a pleasure to share this experience with. As this was our first boy, we were very nervous. Rabbi provides ample helpful information so that we were properly informed and knew what to expect and what to do pre and post circumcision; this even includes providing us with the items needed for healing to get us started. He made sure to go as far as including the grandparents and our daughter in the ceremony to make the day extra special for everyone. You will not go wrong with having Rabbi Glantz apart of any event that you see fit!
— Chelsea Candeub
We had a truly wonderful experience with our mohel during our son’s Bris Milah. From the very beginning, he was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions clearly and quickly, including everything we needed to know about aftercare. He arrived on time, was calm and reassuring, and showed real care for our son and his well-being. The space was clean and sterile, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our son was in experienced, capable hands. He is also a very good talker and shared beautiful, meaningful words during the ceremony that made the moment feel even more special and personal. It really added so much to the experience for our family. Any time we reached out with a question or concern, he responded promptly and thoroughly. We are very grateful for his care and would happily recommend him to any family looking for a skilled, thoughtful, and caring mohel.
— Dani Duek
We cannot recommend Howard Glantz enough. He kept us informed and reassured from day one, answering any and all questions we had. When we had to delay our original bris date because my baby and I were readmitted to the hospital after delivery, Howard worked with us to reschedule and make sure there was no added stress on our plate. The actual bris was a huge success. Howard explained each step clearly and thoroughly, made sure we were aware when each step was being performed, and made sure the procedure was safe and sterile. He even entertained our guests as he worked, and everyone who attended had nothing but good things and praise! He made this important first step in our son’s life a memorable and good experience for all those involved. If we ever have a second son, Howard will be our first choice for his bris. I cannot recommend him more.
— Ilana Bagel
Working with Rabbi Glantz was a wonderful experience from start to finish! He was very flexible, kind, and helpful in our first few conversations as we scheduled the bris. He was extremely attentive during the ceremony, showing great skill and care for both our son and us during some of the more stressful moments. Maybe most importantly, after the Bris he provided clear and comprehensive guidance for post care and was very responsive to questions by text. A great experience!
— Fairleigh Barnes
My husband and I were nervous about planning our son's bris in the final very busy months of my pregnancy. Rabbi Glantz made the process easy and effortless. He spent a lot of time on the phone answering our questions and helping us prepare. On the day of the ceremony he was punctual and very relaxed, using just the right blend of formality and humor. He put us both at ease (which says a lot for two nervous first-time parents!) and had a soothing touch with our son. The procedure itself was quick and handled masterfully. Rabbi Glantz checked in periodically and we are happy to report there were no complications. Our relatives have all shared how impressed they were!
— Allie Brody
The procedure was very fast and the Mohel was very kind and always answered my messages with my concerns. I gave him a 10/10 and he was always making sure everything was fine.
— Lizy Rodríguez
I cannot thank Rabbi Howard enough for coming to my home and giving my son the BEST care during his circumcision! Not only was he quick and efficient, he prayed over him, and made us feel so comfortable! He explained every single step as to what he was doing, he provided us with multiple copies of post op instructions and extra gauze and ointment for recovery! His line is open at anytime for me to call or text and that makes me feel so good! His response time is awesome, I am so grateful we had the pleasure of meeting Rabbi Howard and that my son was cared for like it was his own son!! Thank you again!!!! 10/10 recommend!!!!!!

Rabbi Glantz is wonderful!!! Everyone in my family was raving about him. He has a joyful personality which put us all at ease. My baby had a checkup with the pediatrician a few days after the bris and she said that everything was well done and she had unfortunately seen some bad circumcisions on other babies. From the beginning of the process to the end, Rabbi Glantz communicated everything clearly to us, answered questions and we felt that he made us all comfortable on the day of. He even made my 2.5 year old feel special by including him in a prayer and making him a matching kippah. Highly recommend!
— Jordan Berger
Rabbi Glantz made the Bris a joyful and religiously meaningful experience. He has all the personal and religious skills, in addition to technical skills, to make him a perfect Mohel! I recommend him without hesitation.
— MARLA MELMAN
My husband and I were looking for alternative options to circumcising our son in the hospital. We found Rabbi Glantz on Google and based on the reviews, scheduled for him to come to our house to perform the procedure. He was very professional, personal, and warm. A few days after the procedure, he replied very quickly to my questions. I highly recommend Rabbi Glantz!

— Brandon Apter
Rabbi Glantz performed the my son's bris in January 2025. He did a wonderful job and was a meticulous mohel. Not to mention incredibly kind, friendly, and genuine. He even made custom kipot for my newborn son with his English/Hebrew names and one for my daughter. If we have another boy, he will be the mohel we call - and for every friend in the area we share his recommendation!
— brian schachter
Our son's pediatrician at 1 month appointment- “best circumcision I’ve seen all day”
— Nathan Gidding
Rabbi Glantz performed my baby boy’s bris in early February, and my family still talks about what an amazing job he did. He infused so much personality and humor, while remaining professional and taking the job quite seriously. Rabbi Glantz was gentle and loving with my son, and he readily answered all of the questions my husband and I had both before and after the procedure. I truly cannot say enough positive things about Rabbi Glantz. He performs a beautiful bris and has the ability to put everyone at ease with his kind nature. Definitely do not hesitate to use Rabbi Glantz!
— Samantha U
Rabbi Glantz did a phenomenal job with our son’s Bris! He was extremely easy to communicate with and arrived early and on time with everything he needed, as well as supplies for aftercare for us, and an adorable kippah for the baby to wear. The ceremony was beautiful and the procedure went extremely well. The baby healed perfectly and Rabbi Glantz checked in on us multiple times in the following days and weeks to make sure everything was healing well, which it was. 10/10!!
— Sophia Waldstein
I loved Howard Glantz’s balance of tradition, musicality, humor, and professionalism to create a brit milah experience which was joyous for the parents, grandparents, honored guests … and I think, even the baby (but it could have been the very small amount of Concord Grape 🍇 Manishevitz wine).
— Michael Beals
Rabbi Glantz is a great mohel! We were very happy with his care for our son and communication. He kept a clean and sterile environment and we highly recommend!
— Stephanie Lieberman
We had such a wonderful experience with Rabbi Glantz. He even worked with us to help curate a personalized experience that made the bris that much more meaningful to our family.

We are thrilled with how amazing our ceremony and Bris went! Rabbi Glantz was very easy and pleasant to speak with. He led a beautiful l, well thought and worded ceremony that was very unique to other ceremonies I have been to. — Rebecca Caesar
Very accommodating and professional. His work was also praised by our pediatrician
— Brandon Blau
We were originally going to postpone our son’s bris due to a family matter. At the 11th hour we decided to go through with it. The mohel that we originally chose was no longer available so we did a quick google search and found Rabbi Glantz. It must’ve have been fate! Rabbi Glantz performed a beautiful ceremony. It was special and memorable. For the medical part, everything seemed very clean and sanitary and we received praise from our son’s pediatrician! I would recommend Rabbi Glantz!
— Carlee Pons
Highest recommendation! Rabbi Howard is a warm and skillful mohel who helped my wife and I navigate the details of hosting and performing a bris in our home. He is a baby whisperer with a compassionate and caring nature, an expert clinician with countless circumcisions under his belt, and a baritone with old school cantorial pipes. Throughout the process, Rabbi Howard was accessible and a clear expert in the medical, cultural, and religious elements of the ceremony. Most of all, he made my wife and I feel comfortable that our baby boy was in good hands.
— Aaron Miller

— Bernesha Ellerbe
Howard Glantz is nothing short of phenomenal! When he performed my twin sister’s son’s bris 7 months ago, I was a few weeks pregnant and knew that if I was having a boy, I would be having Howard perform my son’s bris as well. Howard is tremendously kind, knowledge, talented, and kept in regular contact with me prior the ceremony to explain the sequence of events, aftercare, and all other pertinent information. What was especially wonderful was the humor he inserted into the ceremony, and he was a hit with my and my husband’s entire family. He is absolutely the best choice for a mohel, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of his wonderful services!

We had an exceptional experience from start to finish. Every question I had—including those about aftercare—was answered thoroughly and with genuine care. Communication was clear, timely, and reassuring throughout the entire process, and arrival was punctual, which helped ease any nerves we had going in. What stood out most was the compassion and attentiveness shown toward my son. It was clear that his well-being was the top priority, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind. The environment was spotless and sterile, and I felt completely confident that my son was in highly competent, experienced hands. Even after the procedure, when I reached out with a few follow-up questions, the responsiveness was outstanding. Replies came quickly and were detailed enough to leave no doubt or confusion. I truly appreciated the professionalism and kindness every step of the way. Highly recommended!

We just had the honor of Hazzan Glantz performing this act of holiness for our new grandson. He is a consummate professional and I highly recommend him for Brit Milah. He is experienced, kind and thorough . Kal hakavod , and we thank Hazzan from the bottom of our hearts!

We had the pleasure of having Rabbi Howard Glantz perform our son's bris, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Rabbi Glantz was incredibly precise and professional, while also bringing warmth and humor to the ceremony. He even sang during the bris, which made the moment feel joyful and spiritual rather than stressful. From the very beginning, he made us feel completely at ease. His confidence and kindness really stood out. Our son healed beautifully and quickly, a true reflection of Rabbi Glantz's skill and care. We would highly recommend him to anyone in the Philadelphia area (or anywhere in the U.S) looking for a mohel who combines expertise, compassion, and a great sense of humor.

Rabbi Glantz is a well trained and well respected Mohel. I had the pleasure of working with him for my great-nephews Brit Milah. He made everyone feel calm and comfortable. He is well versed in all of the rituals and adds an appropriate amount of humor for a personal touch.
— Larry Brandspiegel
We just used Rabbi Glantz for our son’s bris and I cannot recommend him enough! Rabbi Glantz made us very comfortable with the whole process, answered all our questions and was extremely easy to work with leading up to and throughout the bris. The bris itself was a beautiful ceremony, and he did a fantastic job. It was very personal, joyful and interactive. He has a lovely demeanor, a great sense of humor, is super personable and made everyone comfortable. He was so caring and compassionate toward my son which really put me at ease. My family members have all seen their fair share of bris’s, and every single one of them said how this was the best bris they had been to. Also, Rabbi Glantz has been readily available to answer any and all our questions related to our son’s healing since the Bris. He is truly amazing at what he does!
— Julie
Rabbi Glantz made everyone feel comfortable during an overwhelming day. He worked with us to structure the ceremony how we wanted it and added his charisma to make it a memorable day. We recently moved into the area and are so grateful that Rabbi Glantz was recommended to us for our son’s bris! He was very responsive via email and text both before and after the procedure, clearly answered any questions or concerns we had and made us feel very comfortable during the ceremony and procedure. We had an extremely positive experience overall and would gladly recommend him to others!! Thank you Rabbi Glantz!
— Amanda J
A truly wonderful experience, Rabbi Glantz far exceeded my expectations!! I was slightly anxious about the experience after spending the days leading up to the service in the hospital with my son but didn’t want to delay the Bris any further. As soon as the ceremony begun I felt at ease and knew my baby was is the right hands. I will also add that as a nurse I’ve witnessed a hospital circumcision and this took a fraction of the time, I would recommend this to anybody even those not of Jewish faith. You also get the added benefits of having the Rabbi on call as needed the days following. His service is exceptional!
— Megan M
Rabbi Glantz performed our son’s bris last week and did a phenomenal job. He was so attentive, personable and really cared for our son’s well being. He followed up with us after the fact as well which truly showed his character. Would recommend 10/10!
— Melissa Throne
I would highly recommend Rabbi Glantz for any Jewish simcha. Not only was he the rabbi at our wedding, but he most recently served as the mohel for our son’s bris. He is thoughtful, responsive, and engaging. He helped make both occasions incredibly meaningful for our family. As an added reassurance, our pediatrician even commented on what a great job he did as there were no complications
— Aaron Blady
Everything went better than we could have asked. Everything was communicated well, arrived early, answered all questions, showed our son the utmost care, kept a clean/sterile environment, answered questions afterwards immediately and fully. Couldn’t have asked for a better mohel. Appreciate everything!
— Rebeka Schwartz
I converted to judaism 3 years ago and was blessed with a 3rd boy and the honor to experience a Brit milah and welcome my son to the tribe. The ceremony was very small but Rabbi Glantz made it feel extremely special. The healing process was fast, infact quicker than the circumcision my two older boys received in the hospital.
— Josh
Rabbi Glantz exceeded all of our expectations! From the first call setting up the bris was extremely easy and informative. Rabbi Glantz’s communication, professionalism, and personality are more than what you could ask for. A true g-d send. The bris was executed perfect, no issues what so ever. We are very thankful he was recommended to us and if we are lucky for another boy he will be the one we call!
— J R
I wish Rabbi Glantz was around when our children were first born to do their brit. I had the privilege to watch Rabbi Glantz perform on my grandchild and it was such an amazing moment for our family. Rabbi Glantz lead a beautiful brit with some humor, informative information and a wonderful voice! Do not hesitate to acquire his services if you are in need. You will not regret!

When our pediatrician recommended Howard, we were surprised. We expected her to recommend a physician/colleague. She then explained that a mohel is a specialist and she had witnessed his technique, the way he keeps a sterile field and even seen the results a day later, a week later and years later. From the first call, to all the times he followed up with us, we were delighted with his manner, accessibility, and charm. He told us our relationship may have begun with foreskin but it needn't end there. We are confident we will have Glantz help us with future celebrations!

Rabbi Glantz was phenomenal. He took the time to meet with us, walk us through the bris and tools he would use, and kept us calm. His interaction with our guests and bringing everyone through the ceremony was engaging, informative, and entertaining. We highly recommend Glantz and know he will continue doing great work. Of course, the best recommendation we give is that our son is doing amazing.

Howard performed the bris on my son. In those scary times if COVID19, we were very concerned about the "small gathering", but I'm glad we did it. We kept the amount of people to truly minimal, invited others through FaceTime, and it was very special. We are a dual physician household, so I can attest to the professionalism and cleanliness of the procedure. Howard brought everything sterilized and used gloves and mask through the entire time. He guided us through it and spoke/sang beautifully. A memorable date, despite the current days limitations.

When Glantz came to the door, I was a little surprised. He had his own table, a case on wheels and a gift bag. Family mentioned how he set everything up so carefully. Friends related their Mohel was unhappy because they neglected to purchase the gauze requested. Not Howard, he brought extra gauze and ointment in that gift bag. When we reviewed the service again with him in the half-hour he came before the scheduled time to begin, we wanted to add the European custom he explained of candle lighting. But we had no candles or matches as we were in the clubhouse. Then, I understood the reason for the case, because inside, he found some tea lights and matches he kept for that very reason. Our pediatrician neighbor was there too as were other family and friends who were physicians. They, as well as others, keep mentioning how great everything was that day!

I am 92 years old and I've been to a lot of brisses in my lifetime. I can easily say this was the best I've ever seen. It was actually something entirely different; joyous, engaging and participatory. Surely great grandson cried a little, but that part was extremely quick and as soon as the moyel re-diapered him and picked him up, he was happy!

Glantz is well known to us through our synagogue affiliation. When our great-grandchild was born, we recommended that he be called to perform the bris. The ceremony was beyond our expectation. fully explained the significance of the bris. He made certain that all grandparents had a part to do or say. Being an interfaith family did not daunt him - everyone was included. There was much singing, celebrating and a lot of emotional moments. Most important, the performed the bris quickly and skillfully. The baby is fine; the parents are fine; all the grandparents are "qvelling"! We are expecting another great-grandchild in January. Needless to say, Glantz will be officiating.

Rabbi Glantz did an incredible job with my sons bris this past April. As a new mom I was nervous and did not know what to expect. He showed up and immediately put my mind at ease. Rabbi explained everything that would happen and it couldn't have went smoother. My guests were all impressed. There is no doubt I will be using him again with my next son. He even gave a personalized Kippah to my son and one to his father. It was a nice extra touch! I highly recommend Rabbi Glantz.

Thank you so much for creating such a warm and loving ceremony for our son. Although this can be a very hard day, you made it so special. Your singing, your words of wisdom, and your expertise created such a wonderful Bris. From the moment I spoke to Rabbi Glantz to prepare for the Bris, I knew our son was in good hands. I couldn't be more excited to recommend Rabbi Glantz to other families.

Howard: I am back home today and wanted to take a minute to thank you for the Bris yesterday. I am far from the expert here, but I've been a guest at Brisses in the past and you were amazing! With your fast technique and singing distractions, you made us comfortable and confident that the baby will be fine. At our event the gentiles outnumbered the Jews, nonetheless, you made the experience comfortable and educational for everyone. Thank you again for making the Bris an experience we will long remember and cherish. Best regards

Rabbi Glantz did a phenomenal job performing our sons Bris...I called him a few months before I gave birth to my son and let him know when we were expecting our son and he made himself available...I was very happy to know we could personalize different parts of the service such as adding prayers and also allowing people to speak...It was a wonderful experience...If we have another son I will definitely be using him again.

Howard Glantz is a moyel extraordinaire. He contributed greatly to our simcha through his expert and beautiful performance of our Brit Milah, as well as his easy going manner and sense of humor (appropriate + appreciated to help mama, dad, and our family and friends relax during the ceremony.) The greatest complement of all: We have recommended his services to my mom's friends grandson. Our family strongly recommends Howard Glantz to beautify your simcha. Ps. Our pediatrician said that our son's was one of the cleanest circumcision that she has seen!

Hubby and I had Howard perform our sons Bris this week and all I can say is "wow"! For such a tough ceremony (not just for baby but also for mom and dad) he helped to ease our nerves and reassure us everything would work out great. All of our family and friends were amazed at how awesome of a job he did. From the initial consultation over the phone he stayed in touch and his follow through was exceptional. He was incredibly accommodating and his remaining in contact afterwards has been much appreciated. I highly recommend him!

The bris for my son was actually the first I ever attended, and I imagined something much more somber and scary. It was spiritual, nurturing and healing all at the same time. Glantz made us feel at ease, his expertise and comfort was clearly great and evident. It is now two weeks after and the result is 'perfect' both in terms of the covenant and the aesthetic appearance. If you are looking for a moyel, look no further, Glantz is the one and phillybris.com is how we found him.

Absolutely the best. Rabbi Glantz was simply terrific in every aspect of the process and of of course ultimately with the Bris. My wife and I were thrilled with his expertise, compassion, and putting us (and our little guy) at ease. He walked us through the entire process and ceremony, answered all of our questions as was so gentle and sweet with our little man, he even followed up with a personal visit to make sure all was well (which is was). Have him perform your Bris your mind will be at ease and you will have a beautiful occasion to always remember.

I personally co-officiated at britot with Rabbi Glantz. He was professional, funny, quick (very important when doing a bris) and made the entire family feel at ease. I would be happy to recommend Rabbi Glantz as a fantastic mohel.

Thanks and love to Howard Glantz for performing our grandson's Brit Milah yesterday. The ceremony was meaningful, warm, and loving. And our little Logan Milo (Moshe Mordechai) is lookin' a-ok! Need a mohel? Go to phillybris.com!! Follow-up comment: Howard not only checked in by phone in the days following the bris...he even made a follow-up house call! Best mohel in town!!

We used Rabbi Glantz for our combined bris and naming ceremony for our boy/girl twins. He met with us in advance to review the ceremony and fully explain the honors. He also came and saw our son a few days after the bris to check on the "site." We were very appreciative and surprised at the level of personal service as none of our friends working with other mohels received level of attention. He also led a meaningful and fun ceremony.

If you're like us, you asked around for recommendations about a mohel a few weeks before your son's bris. Maybe you called your synagogue to ask around. You get a few names and make some awkward calls and settle on someone. Then the birth of your son occurs and in between trying to figure out what the heck just happened to your life, you have to arrange the bris. We actually had spoken to, and were going with a different mohel (based on the above search strategy), but my son was born 2 weeks early and that mohel was going to visit his mother in the midwest. Oy Veh, what is a father to do???.... Never fear. My mother visiting mohel recommended Rabbi Glantz and I had him on the phone/text later that afternoon. He was wonderful and patient with me. I can only imagine how harried other new fathers are, but I was juggling a toddler, 2 sets of grandparents, work and a partridge in a pear tree, I was pretty frazzled. We thought the bris was supposed to be on a thursday as my son was born on a weds. Rabbi Glantz patiently explained it was actually Weds due to the sun still shining when my son came into the world. It didn't really matter to us, we just needed to know when to order the bagels. So Weds it would be. The day or so before the ceremony we had a phone conversation to figure out where I lived, who would be there and to cover any concerns. He was great. On the actual day, he arrived on time, brought all his own gear and we got down to business. As the father watching his son having his privates snipped, I wouldn't say the bris was fun, but Rabbi Glantz did a great job mixing humor, religion and medical competence into a several thousand year old tradition. He stuck around afterwards and was wonderful to talk with. He checked on us afterward several times, which we really appreciated. We saw our pediatrician a few days after the bris for a checkup and she said the circumcision looked great. In short if you are reading this, first congratulations on the birth or impending birth of your son, and if you aren't sure who to go with for the bris, Rabbi Glantz will do a great job. We feel blessed he fell into our laps.

When looking for a mohel for our son's bris we considered several different options. We chose Rabbi Glantz based on several recommendations from friends. The highest consideration was given to our son's well being. I had heard from a friend how responsive Rabbi was when she had a questions a couple of days later and how he drove over an hour to her house to make sure everything was fine (and it was!). Rabbi's ceremony was very interactive and our families commented on how he made all the guests feel a part of the festive ceremony. He included family members whom we wanted to honor and was sensitive of the various backgrounds of observance in our families. After the ceremony he checked with in with us several times and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend him.

Dear, We are writing to thank you for all your efforts presiding over and performing Benjamin's bris. When I first learned we were expecting a boy, I was elated and then, shortly after, quite anxious about the brit milah. You managed to quell my concerns (which is no easy feat) with your professional and informative, yet also, personable manner. The ease with which you performed the ceremony coupled with your communication to those in attendance, bestowed a confidence that was so reassuring during this mitzvah.

There are a few times in life where an experience is so special and beyond your expectations, that it becomes a lifetime memory that can be looked upon with great joy and positive emotion! My family was privileged to have/Rabbi Howard Glantz conduct the bris for our son. Our family has unique circumstances having mixed faith and language backgrounds in which Howard was able to navigate with extreme professionalism and some timely humor. His beautiful voice was a peaceful support to this sensitive situation for my son. I think what I appreciated most about the bris was Howard's support in crafting the experience to our liking and giving us the opportunity to add our family flavor without loosing the integrity of a Jewish ceremony. Howard traveled quite far to come to our home. He was on-time and full of knowledge to answer our questions as we prepared to begin. He was also extremely responsive leading up to the bris as we had tons of questions and inquiries! The actual circumcision was done with great care for our son and my boy was back in mom's arms so fast that he was feeding in no time. We were quite surprised at how little fuss he made afterwards and how well he slept that night. Howard even called the next day to ensure everything was ok and that baby was doing fine. Should I have a second son, I will not hesitate to have Howard perform the bris again! He was truly a skilled professional who put our entire family at ease.

If you go to a lot of Jewish ceremonies like I do, you can kind of fall into a bit of a ritual rut -- having each one feel the same, indistinguishable from the others, and having conversations with my husband like "oh was that so-and-so's occassion, or the other guy"? Now, this is especially true with brises -- I don't know if it's the byproduct of the "main event", but I can't tell you how many uncomfortable, eerily quiet brises I have sat through. Rabbi Glantz's bris for my son was entirely and amazingly the opposite. The service was totally personalized, special and (dare I say?!) fun! He was happy, even eager, to incorporate my family's Moroccan traditions, helped us include all our family members in small, lovely ways, and used his wonderful singing voice to inspire everyone to join in. Everyone came up to me afterwards to (semi incredulously) tell me how festive it all was! I was the first of my friends to have a baby and many, many friends who were in attendance have since used Rabbi Glantz. I will also say that the evening after the bris, we were concerned about a little redness, and the Rabbi drove all the way back to our home (at least 45 minutes) just to check him. Our baby was totally fine (first time parents, anyone?!), but what a compassionate and exceptional thing for a person to do. If you want to have warm and positive memories about your bris or baby naming, I absolutely recommend Rabbi Glantz.

Howard Glantz did my son's bris 2 years ago. He was absolutely amazing! He was kind, gentle, and truly believed in the mitzvah of performing a bris on a newborn Jewish boy. He was also very entertaining. I have friends still coming up to me and telling me how awesome Howard was! I also posted on facebook Thank you Rabbi Howard Glantz for the amazing job tonight at jaxon's bris! You made the experience absolutely wonderful!

I have known Rabbi Howard Glantz for 30 years. He is a kind, sensitive individual and when I was asked for a recommendation for a mohel for a complicated situation he was the first one I thought of calling. A bris is not just a "surgical procedure". Rabbi Howard Glantz delivers a beautiful, meaningful occasion which will be remembered and valued by any family that seeks out his services.
— Cantor Avima Rudavsky Darnov
Howard Glantz is a wonderful and Mohel. My husband has known him for over 20 years, as his family attended Glantz's shul in Michigan. I first got to know him when I met my husband over 10 years ago. He welcomed us warmly at Adath Jeshurun and officiated at our wedding in 2009. He conducted the bris ceremonies for both of my sons, one in 2012 and the next in 2016. As a convert, I had never attended a bris before and was extremely nervous. Glantz was caring and kind and completely put me at ease. Our families loved him and the ceremony. His demeanor and humor made everyone feel comfortable. He answered all of our questions and urged us to contact him if we had any concerns during the healing process. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
— Christina Taneyhill Terebelo
Glantz is a fantastic person, cantor, and mohel. He took the time to speak with us and got to know our family. He was very inclusive of all our family members and got all their names correct at the ceremony. His humor and wit are unmatched along with his personal touches in making sure everything goes smoothly. He still takes time to say hello to all of us and our two children whenever we see him. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend his services.

I've worked with countless mohelim. When it came time for my grandson's Brit Milah, there was only one choice. I wanted someone who was accommodating, sensitive, technically skilled and a mensch. Rabbi Glantz exceeded all of my expectations and standards. I commend him to your attention without hesitation or reservation.
— Rabbi Jonathan Kendall, D.D.
Toddah Rabbah(Much Thanks) to Glantz for performing the britot for our TWIN boys Noam and Shai. I am a cantor and my husband is a rabbinical student so we knew that we wanted a mohel, and not a physician, to share in this significant experience with us. It was important to us that Jewish tradition be woven throughout the ceremony as opposed to simply having the circumcision performed. Glantz made the experience so very meaningful, memorable and joyful as he encouraged beautiful singing throughout and explained what was happening every step of the way. Even though he took time to show us how to care for the area, we still were concerned with how one of the boys looked the next day. Glantz drove the hour and a half back to the Lehigh Valley that night just to be certain things were as they should be. Of course, everything was perfect. We were just nervous first time parents. We highly recommend Mohel Glantz! God willing, we will need to call on him again in the future.

We thank Rabbi Glantz for the wonderful bris he recently performed for our son Benjamin at our temple, co-officiating with our Rabbi. Our family and friends found the ceremony to be very moving, and with humor and kindness he helped us as parents get through an always stressful day. This was our second bris with Rabbi Glantz (the first being 4 years ago), and we knew we could be confident our son was in good hands. At our pediatrician revisit the day after the bris, the doctor could not believe how well our son had already started healing overnight, which was of course very reassuring to hear. We would recommend Rabbi Glantz without reservation to anyone seeking either a religious brit milah or a non-religious circumcision. Btw, I forwarded your website to our pediatricians!

Dear Glantz, Thank you so much for making our son's Brit Milah such an easy and positive experience for us. From our phone conversations before the bris, to the actual event, to your follow-up visit, you were consistently kind, caring, and reassuring. We especially appreciated your willingness to let us take the lead in the ceremony and include various family members. You truly listened to us and made sure that we were comfortable with every part of the ceremony. It was a pleasure working with someone so caring and knowledgeable. We will certainly recommend you to all our friends! Yashar Koach on a beautifully performed mitzvah.

I had a concern at 3 am the night after our son's bris. I texted a picture to him and within minutes I had my heart set at ease. It was obvious that I had woken him, but he was fine with it and even happy that he could be of assistance. He followed up and showed such caring for our son.

Glantz performed the bris for my son in June 2008. He was fabulous! He put me at ease, involved all family members that my husband and I wanted to be a part of the ceremony. Glantz called a few days later to check in on my son and us as well. It was a very personal and meaningful ceremony. I could not be happier with Glantz and am pleased to recommend his services without reservation.

Dear Howard, This past Sunday I attended the bris of baby Sy. As a surgeon of over 30 years I was so impressed by your skills, compassion, coolness and equanimity under pressure. I wish that many of my colleagues would have those same characteristics. It was a delight to be a part of the mitzvah. You made the whole experience quite exhilarating. Congrats on your fine work. Being a midwife and seeing circumcisions in the hospital setting had tainted my views at first. I was frightened by the whole idea of a bris, let alone a religious ceremony by a non medical professional. But when I became pregnant with my son, I knew that I would have a bris for him. I just needed to find the right person for it. When Rabbi Glantz sent a letter to my midwifery practice about his services, it was serendipity. My husband and I contacted Howard when I was 8 months pregnant and we felt right at ease. His training and experience was just what I was looking for. The day of the bris, I was a nervous wreck. My perfect little boy was about to undergo a traumatizing procedure and I was beside myself. Moyel Glantz was quick to put my fears to rest. He conducted a beautiful ceremony that involved the entire family. He sang to our son as he removed his foreskin, and Benjamin barely cried. I was so happy with the end result, that I recommend him to all my Jewish patients who are pregnant with boys. Thank you Howard for a wonderful experience and a beautiful ceremony that all my friends and family enjoyed tremendously. With great appreciation, Mother of 2 and midwife to many.

My partner and I were looking for someone who understood the needs of a non-traditional family when our son was born. Glantz is a breath of fresh air in the Philadelphia Jewish community. Since then, I have been fortunate to witness him perform a funeral and a wedding and was equally impressed with his sensitivity and talent. Jews and non-Jews of all varieties should feel comfortable consulting with Rabbi Glantz for any Jewish ceremony or ritual.

Rabbi Glantz was the mohel for a number of children in our immediate family. Both my wife and I are rather uncomfortable at a bris. We can't imagine hurting the cute little baby boy. The service conducted by Rabbi Glantz was refreshing. It is filled with tradition yet it is light hearted. While performing the bris he is careful and compassionate. At the same time he is making those in the room feel at ease with the process.

Rabbi Glantz performed the bris for both our sons. We were very pleased with the moyel's abilities, both medically and spiritually, and we would highly recommend his services. Fondly, Beth and Craig Bradford—Proud parents of Josh and Daniel.

Dear Rabbi Glantz; I would like to thank you for the wonderful ceremony at my grandson Micah's bris on December 10. You involved everyone. The prayers and singing was a very nice touch. You have such a personable touch. My family and friends were very impressed. I was as well. You talked with people and joined us in our meal. Besides all that, you were very good with Micah. I will recommend you any time there is a boy born. Thank you so much.

Dear Howard, I just want to tell you in writing how much we enjoyed having you as the mohel for our grandson. You really made the Bris so memorable for us with your warmth and humor. Although you provided the history and blessings, your emphasis was on what was most important to us-the naming. Your cantorial voice is commanding and you brought everyone to their feet in the great room as if you were announcing the arrival of a king; we loved it! The ending was so upbeat and appropriate to the occasion with the singing and clapping. Additionally, my husband the doctor - attests to the skill you exhibited with the cutting. Sincerely,

Howard Glantz did an excellent job performing the bris for our son, Marc in June 2008. He was very patient and open with us regarding the ceremony and procedure. made us feel very comfortable and the occasion very personal by learning about our family. While maintaining the religious component he was entertaining in explaining the meaning behind each part of the ceremony. He also found a role for everyone who we wanted to be a part of the ceremony. In addition, he made matching kipot for father and son with both Hebrew and English names. Regarding the procedure itself, he was so quick that our son actually slept through it! While it is clear that Glantz has performed many britot, he made ours feel special and unique to our family. That is what we most remember. That personal touch, like calling a few days later to check not only on Marc, but on us as well is noticed and greatly appreciated.

We are happy to recommend Rabbi Glantz! My husband and I are of two different faiths and deciding to even have a bris was a struggle. Once we decided, we were so lucky to find the Rabbi through a friend's recommendation. He was able to put everyone at ease, especially those who had never been to a bris. The ceremony was lovely and the medical service he gave was exceptional. We highly recommend him!! P.S. The pediatrician loved your work:)

I am more than happy to talk about what an incredible job Rabbi Glantz did as a mohel at our son Gabriel's bris. Our son was healthy at birth—and we were sent home from the hospital after the standard two days. Unfortunately, we had to go back to the hospital when the baby was five days old because he had jaundice. His level was dangerously high, and we were in the hospital for three horrible days. The baby was fine—but as new parents, we were shaken, sleep deprived, and worn out. We were released from the hospital hours before the bris was to take place at my mother's house. We considered just having Rabbi Glantz come to our home, and avoid the party and celebration. We were in such a state that we didn't feel up to seeing all of our friends and family. However, we reconsidered—knowing that we only had one chance to have our son's bris—and we were in desperate need of some positive energy. Rabbi Glantz provided that, and more. He came in with such enthusiasm and sensitivity to our experience that I was immediately comfortable with him. My husband was very nervous about the bris because he didn't want to see our little baby go thru any more poking or proding. The ceremony before the circumcision was beautiful and personal. The actual procedure took seconds, and my father-in-law dipped wine in the baby's mouth to distract him. We then "announced" the baby, sang and clapped our hands. Rabbi Glantz acted as the master of ceremonies for all of this—and everything flowed well. My brother and husband both gave emotional speeches that had everyone crying, and Rabbi Glantz brought us back to laughing with his quick wit. I felt that my husband, my new baby, and I were in the hands of a real professional. He treated us as if we were family, even giving us his cell phone number to call anytime if we had any questions in the following days. We did, as first time parents usually do, and he answered our questions promptly and as well as any pediatrician would. Since my husband's family is not Jewish, many of our guests had never been to a bris. Rabbi Glantz put everyone at ease, and explained things completely. Everyone who attended our son's bris commented on how wonderful Rabbi Glantz was— and I would highly recommend him.

Dear Rabbi Glantz: Your warmth, good humor and group sing-along which you encouraged helped relieve the tension felt by both parents and grandparents at the recent bris of our 13th Grandchild, Nathan Unikel. When I contacted other moyels I was optimistic but unsure. After only 5 minutes on the phone I knew Glantz was the one. When he arrived he had a warm welcoming feeling that encapsulated the room. Before I knew it the ceremony had begun. My wife and I were very on edge since this was our first son and first bris that we could remember. But Howard had a way of turning any feelings of uneasiness into joy with songs and just simply singing with action, and some light but appropriate bris humor. When it was all over he made sure my wife and I knew what to do to take care of my son's circumcision and even stayed around to shmooze with the family. Our experience has been one of the kind that kept my family and friends talking for days. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Without his help this great mitzvah would not have happened. We thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Dear Glantz Sincerely,

Our son's brit milah would have been a moment of both exultation and anxiety no matter what. Because he was born at thirty-one weeks and spent three weeks in the NICU before coming home, both extremes of emotion were intensified. Howard's gentle, caring, reassuring manner, his expertise, his profound understanding of how serious this was for us and how important just the right brand and quantity of humor could ease our way, and his passion for performing and transmitting the traditions of Judaism kept us confident even when we wanted to grab our precious infant and run! I would hire Howard again in a heartbeat.

The only way to make the ritual of the bris of your son or grandson even more meaningful and memorable, for those you are sharing this important celebration of birth with, is to work with Mohel Howard Glantz. His experience, understanding, compassion, knowledge and warmth are exactly what parents, grandparents and guests need to witness to know that the newborn they are all there to celebrate is in the most safe and loving care as will be the case with Howard Glantz.

We considered Howard our only choice when we had our boys. (It helped that he married us, and did a great job with that as well!) He is kind, conscientious, and skilled. My wife and I would highly recommend Glantz!

Rabbi Glantz was the mohel for my twin sons and my third son as well. The ceremony was beautifully and professionally done.
— Rabbi David Krischef
Howard was kind, calm, thorough and explained the process in an informative and gentle manner. He had us all organized and included everybody. He made everybody feel special. He knew when to be humorous and serious. He was also flexible and adaptable. He was thorough and wonderful with the babies. If you want your special event to be memorable, I highly recommend Howard to be part of your family's life cycle: Mohel, Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tutor and/or Rabbi to officiate at weddings.

A son's brit milah is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and making sure you've got the right professional is critical. Chazzan Glantz performed our son's brit with the highest medical integrity, and equally important was his hamische approach to the mitzvah. Howard brought a great sense of comfort to all family members, really putting both mother and father at ease. His musical talent is off the charts and he turned the day into an memory we will cherish forever. Several years later, our pediatrician is still saying, "What a mohel - he did a beautiful job!" It's truly a privilege to recommend Chazzan Howard Glantz as a mohel.
